GREEK FOOD IN FORT LAUDERDALE (GREEK ISLANDS)

Since the weather has been pretty grey and wet for the past 2 days, let's talk about the good stuff... FOOD! I'm sure many of you have been to Fort Lauderdale, FLorida for a vacation right? Well I have and I'm in the mood to share one of my favorite restaurant of the area with you. For a great meal after a day at the beach or just to relax on a nice patio, Greek Islands Taverna is my place to go. They offer fresh traditional greek food at very reasonable prices.

Their signature dishes are the shrimps, lamb chops and the ribs. Whenever I drive by this restaurant, I can smell the deliciousness being prepared and it simply smells like heaven. The terasse is very well done, sourounded by nature with a subtile view of the street, give you that feeling of being away. The chicken plate is my favourite, it is seasoned to perfection, served with greek patatoes and rice. My husband loves their Gyro, it's also very tender and delicious. Let's not forget their garlic chickpeas spread apetizer, to die for.

So whenever you are in south florida and have a craving for mediteranean food, head to Greek Islands Taverna
